Tarpy, Cox, Fleishman & Leveille Welcomes New Attorney, R. Seth Oakes
R. Seth Oakes joins the Firm as a new attorney in the Litigation Department, where he assists clients on a variety of business related litigation matters, estate planning and administration, criminal defense, personal injury, and domestic relations.
He is a 2013 graduate of the Duncan School of Law where he was recognized as a contributing author in the book Perspectives on Capital Punishment in America: Edited by Professor Charles E. MacLean, a compilation of legal scholarship on the death penalty in the United States. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Oakes clerked for the Honorable John D. McAfee of New Tazewell, Tennessee. Mr. Oakes also served as an Assistant District Attorney Extern in the Claiborne County Branch Office for the 8th Judicial District Attorney General of Tennessee.
